I bought a 2g stix, and my comp. only 248m, any ideas why, thx

maybe they gave you the wrong one or maybe you read it wrong.

you can check by right-clicking My Computer -> Manage -> Disk Management and look under Capacity to see how big it is.

It said 2G on the stix itself. I tried to format, bad sector recover, but nothing brings it back.

What are you running, Win XP or Vista? Is the stick formatted as FAT, FAT32, or NTFS?

Hi Ifly, I'm running window xp, did format both fat and fat32, make no different.
